Bond Street Loft is a minimalist house located in New York City, designed by Elizabeth Roberts Design. The loft is situated in one of New York City’s original artist’s loft buildings in the Noho district, and occupies the entire floor. The 1,500 square foot space was gut renovated into a two bedroom apartment for a family of three.

In keeping with the authenticity of an artists’ loft, the designers carefully selected a series of salvaged items that would ultimately become the highlights of the space. The salvaged pieces included ten-foot tall double doors leading to the master suite and a 150 year old solid porcelain bathtub with original fittings in the master bathroom.

Modern amenities such as central air, fumed oak floors, and mahogany weighted windows were implemented without distracting from the original character of the interior. In addition, a custom, steel, floor-to-ceiling bookshelf is anchored toward the rear of the kitchen in order to showcase the couple’s vast collection of art and books.
