This lovely, light-filled, and plant-filled one-bedroom flat, is set within a 1930’s factory building near London. The creators are Louis Hagen Hall and Catherine Verna Bentley of Bentley Hagen Hall and it’s their first personal project. What a fantastic way to start in the industrial decoration world.

With a clever sense, the interior designers had have managed to squeeze a hallway, bedroom, bathroom and living/kitchen/study area into 46 square metres but space is also packed with character. Mid-century furniture jostles with books, art, collections and plant all a vintage apartment requires.

According to Louis and Catherine, the main objectives of this project is related to being such a small space they wanted to maximise storage, something you wouldn’t usually find in a London apartment of this size! The result is a docile study/spare bedroom area to run the business from, which could be tied off from the main living space.

Classical joinery with raw wood tone is half of the way to create a mid-century setting! Industrial decoration features are also present in some details in upholstery.

And the most special peculiarity the professionals are most proud is the bathroom decoration, in agreement with them the crisp wooden deck, cement floor and glass screen, contrasted with the rough plaster and traditional brassware.
