The first of our list of commonly made mistakes is that you don’t have to be afraid to make some changes. Even if you already have a nice vintage styled room, you have to dare to improve and change. It’s doesn’t mean that you have to redesign everything, but making small upgrades can always help. So, dare to make little changes, don’t overthink and don’t feel pushed to change the whole room. Little decor changes can also be helpful, changing the lamps for example. You can always change your lamps if you buy them by family, just like the Turner family.

The second of our 5 commonly made mistakes list is that you have to make it personal and have varieties in colours and textures. Make you room special and very unique, a room only made from one type of material or colour will make it feel like a hospital. Vintage is also about feelings and warmth, cosiness. So, mix and match as you want, you just have to remember that a room shouldn’t feel like a place where you would get crazy or you don’t want to spend time in.

The third of our list of commonly made mistakes is that you don’t have to make an overkill of the vintage style. What we try to say is that vintage is a style that you can combine with a lot of other styles; modern, contemporary, industrial, mid-century, and many other styles. It’s a nicer way of entering a room, especially for your guests. Because, you’ll always have something to look at and you will see that the styles are connected to one another.

The fourth of our 5 commonly made mistakes has to do with trends of that year or season. You don’t have to follow every trend, especially if your own taste is not the same. Trends come and go, and come back again. So, don’t feel obligated to follow each and every trend, because trends can’t always be combined. Especially if you want to get the summer and winter trend together, they aren’t always connected. So, if you like to follow the trends, just keep in mind that you have to pick the trends you like, and not to follow a trend because it is trending at that moment. Make sure you mix and match to your own taste, but don’t make it to busy. You have to both enjoy the process, as well as the finished result.

The fifth and last our 5 commonly made mistakes is probably the most important, #YOUDOYOU and your house is an extension of your personality and family. So, just make it as unique as you want it to be, you are living in that house so you should feel great in it. The mistakes of today are general mistakes and we want to help you feel better in your house, that’s we haven’t told you to buy this or that to have the best interior. Because, you are the only one who can decide what the best interior for your house is. So, vintage is personal and you should feel good about your own creations and interior.
