BE INSPIRED: A SPECIAL MID CENTURY ANNIVERSARY WITH SINATRA LIGHTING FAMILY!
Nina Simone is a true icon, passionate for music, she was so important to the music we hear today. Her remarkable talent to create a legacy of liberation, empowerment, passion, and love through a magnificent body of works. WOMAN with all the letters!
She played piano since she was very young, but didn’t sing, in her mother’s church, displaying remarkable talent early in her life. Able to play virtually anything by ear, she was soon studying classical music with an Englishwoman named Muriel Mazzanovich, who had moved to the small southern town. It was from these humble roots that Eunice developed a lifelong love of Johann Sebastian Bach, Chopin, Brahms, Beethoven and Schubert.
Simone Suspension Lamp is just an icon as she was, her elegance, her passion is transmited through a lighting piece and that is just amazing. For our Music For Today, jazz was the music style that was choosen. Handmade in brass, this modern lamp has three lamp shades in aluminum that feature a glossy black finish and three visible textile red wires above the large lamp shades.
~Francis Albert Sinatra – Happy Birthday!~
American singer, actor, and producer who was one of the most popular and influential musical artists of the 20th century. Frank Sinatra is our second choice for Music For Today! We couldn’t be more happy to have these two here because it is an honor to talk about them.
A Christmas photo of Frank Sinatra when we’re so close to Christmas seems to us a great idea. He joined a local singing group, which, as the Hoboken Four, won a talent competition in 1935 on the popular radio program Major Bowes’ Amateur Hour. The group toured the country that year, but Sinatra was the only member with serious musical ambitions, and they soon disbanded. From that moment he had sing in some bands, but nothing important. When the trumpeter Harry James found him, that was the most important moment for Frank.
Our second lighting inspiration, Sinatra Suspension Lamp , is an icon! Everyone wants to have one and you included! Handmade in brass and with a nickel plated finish, Sinatra reflects the popular classics from the mid-century period of design.
