A transcendent blue, Serenity provides us with a naturally connected sense of space. It is widely accepted that blue is the most beloved colour in the world. Therefore, it wasn’t entirely surprising that one of Pantone’s picks for 2016 Color of the Year is a cornflower-inspired hue dubbed Serenity. That idea that blue equals earthy peacefulness is probably why it’s so favoured. It’s a color that brings to mind the sky and water and tranquility.
