If you are wondering why we decided to talk about Mr Kate and their interior design show about home makeover, we answer you ‘why not?’ This is probably one of the greatest interior shows nowadays on the internet and we have to talk about it. Today, we are here to give you a Mr Kate Review. So if you don’t know the show, please keep reading and you’ll see for yourself why they are so freaking amazing!

Let’s start from the beginning. Mr Kate started in 2011 as a simple blog with the goal of celebrating life through a more creative lens in the interior design area. According to with their blog, “We were the little train that could, as we worked hard to find innovative ways to develop and nurture an online community and built it into what is now millions of viewers around the world who all celebrate our philosophy of Because Why Not?”
Mr Kate is now a leader in the creative lifestyle movement, producing and distributing high-quality interior decor, style and beauty content and products through innovative and also unique vintage production and syndication partnerships with major digital and traditional media players, brand and licensing deals with Fortune 500 companies, and a literary deal with Harper Collins publishing. Mr Kate has won a number of awards, including Webby and W3 Awards for excellence in the field of a home transformation, and they continue to dream bigger as they grow their global fanbase throughout interior design trends.
Along with this blog, another project popped up: The youtube show OMG We’re Coming Over! And know you are wondering “Well ok, but they are coming over to where?” It’s pretty easy to explain!
Is there something wrong with your house design? Yes? Well someone special is coming over to fix it—Mr. Kate! More specifically, the stars of the popular Mr Kate YouTube channel, Kate Albrecht and Joey Zehr, who have mastered the interior home makeover.
The 2nd season of their show OMG We’re Coming Over: Digitally Famous found the duo redecorating, redesigning, and redoing the houses, apartments, and rooms of various social media and youtube stars, including Liza Koshy, Grace Helbig, and Adelaine Morin. The series has gotten millions of views, as Mr Kate continues her quest to redefine “normal,” one creative project at a time. The show has the best sense of decoration and keeps up with the interior design trends.
They took a 6 months break between season 2 and 3, but finally, the first episode of season 3 is here with new youtube stars and you can start to follow the best design show on the crazy platform that youtube is. And you know what’s the best part? Is not even on youtube red, which means you can watch it without paying!
The decoration they do it’s not restricted, meaning, they can redecorate an entire division making it look more contemporary or mid-century, but also turning it into this vintage industrial style with vintage lighting, giving an edgy look.
We are now giving you our personal favorite house design transformation they did: Liza Koshy’s home office and guest bedroom. The office is a combo of a unique vintage style, with the traditional rug using a minimal, neutral color palette and a unique mix of bohemian and mid-century design aesthetics.
Her guest room, featuring a one-of-a-kind designed mural, was up first, and one of our FAVORITE THINGS EVER. Because she is from Houston, Texas and lives in LA, she wanted to do an interior design with a mix of both locations, so when her mom comes to visit her, she can feel live home. If this isn’t he sweet thing ever, I don’t know what it is!
