Even for those who weren’t raised in the 1980s, Pac-Man is a pop culture symbol. The fullness of this golden, dot personage who cross a maze against ghosts exceeds the vintage arcade. This is the setting that inspired the hallways of Ibis Styles Budapest Center. Get to know this fantastic hospitality design example which takes advantages of the finest vintage style spirit.
1. Yellow decoration – The 130 room hotel, which was inaugurated close to the Danube River, is a nostalgia-inducing version to video games. Piotr Kalinowski, the chief and architect design manager says he chose this retro theme due to the fact video games of the past are still a phenomenon nowadays. Who doesn´t love vintage video games?
2. Mid-century design – It is recognised that a lot of adults come back to the ones they played when they were a child. Video games are intended for a loose, calm time, but also are energetic and dynamic. Behind the front desk, there are similar details of Tetris and Rubik’s Cubes. At the breakfast and bar area, customers rest on canary-colored metal chairs at a communal table covered in a pixelated drawing.
3. Decoration – To represent the sporty theme, the head interior designer adopted a zippy yellow and black palette. Visitors take the lobby’s “bike path” to the bar, where seat display pedals and handlebars. More bicycle allusions fill the area, from lamps that impersonate wheels to seats matching rubber.
4. Hotel Design – In any of the 130 guestrooms, bathrooms highlight a checkerboard decoration that entreats a race flag, along with extensive, funny images of bike-wielding citrons above the bed to suggest the innocence and happiness together.
5. Vintage Decoration – An excellent location with the most comfortable access to both the financial and historical parts of the city. A really good night sleep that are equipped with energy and a huge comfort.
