Sometimes we just need to sit down for a minute and think in life, our simply just admire the beauty of a view or just have a nice reading. Agree?
Normann Copenhagen launched Form chair by Simon Legald: a brand new seating collection inspired by hundreds of chair designs in history that integrates industry and craftsmanship.
Simplicity and functionality combined.
The Form Chairs are crafted combining a wood or steel frame with a molded plastic seat. The different materials meet in an elegant way and help to accentuate the high quality craftsmanship, leaving the furniture with a clean and simple expression.
The base is available in oak, American walnut or steel. The wooden legs that are assembled and sanded by hand. Even the lacquered steel version is welded by hand without using screws in order to make the construction more durable.
“I’ve developed a technique that allows the connections between the frame and seat to be a naturally integrated part of the design. The frame is secured by a single plastic mould, which makes it appear almost as if the frame is growing out of the shell. This gives the design flexibility and makes it possible to vary the frame in a great number of ways. Form Chair is a combination of traditional craftsmanship and design history. At the same time, it is entirely unique”, explains Simon Legald.
Form chair is available in blue, grey, green, red, black and white. The chair collection is completed by square or rectangular Form tables that come in six colours as well.
