You should first know that rooftop nightlife in Miami Beach isn’t technically always at night. You’ll find pool parties, DJs, and cocktail hours all day and night around here with just about any kind of vibe you can imagine. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a Bacardi® Mojito, the official cocktail of Miami & The Beaches, any time of the day.  Whether you’re looking for a post-beach cocktail, a 360 view with a five-star menu to match, a fashion-forward or a chill crowd Miami has it all.

Before heading out for cocktails and dancing consider that many of these spots serve food as well as drinks. Go hungry or go out to eat at a rooftop restaurant to make the most of the luxurious Miami weather from winter to summer. Two recommendations for sky-high foodie spots with stunning views include Tuyo at the Miami Dade College’s Culinary Institute Downtown and Juvia atop 1111 Lincoln Road.

POPULAR BAR & LOUNGE AREAS

Every area in Miami Beach has bars and lounges that stand out in their own right. You won’t have to look very hard to find a nice place for a happy hour or late night cocktail. If you’re staying in a hotel, there’s probably a watering hole right in your lobby. If there’s not, ask the concierge for recommendations on places to try. Let them know what you’re looking for—live music, Haute-mixology or a sports bar to watch the game.

Try the Rose Bar inside the Delano’s dramatic lobby or the romantic indoor/outdoor Sunset Lounge at the Mondrian South Beach. Raise a glass to your vacation at the Lapidus Lounge at The Ritz-Carlton South Beach. At The Play Bar & Lounge at Circa39 boutique hotel, you can play a game of chess while taking advantage of their daily happy hour. Keep your health in mind at Carillon Lounge, the bar at Canyon Ranch Hotel & Spa, where mixers are made in-house and drinks are served alongside healthful snacks. CLUBS

If it’s a night of partying in true Miami style that you desire, make a beeline to the fabulous Fontainebleau. Inside the iconic lobby glittering with chandeliers above its bowtie-patterned marble floor, the throngs await entry to LIV. Once a performance venue for the likes of Elvis and Frank Sinatra, today the club draws world-renowned DJs such as David Guetta, Steve Angello and Kaskade to play to sold out crowds. The 18,000 square foot mega club was voted one of the world’s best by Reuters, and it’s easy to understand why once you’ve set foot inside. Its vaulted dome ceiling, impressive light show and lux VIP tables scream for a good time. The door policy is strict, so dress to impress or buy your tickets ahead of time. Often times, VIP table reservations will put you ahead of the line, giving partygoers the chance to party sooner. The nifty Fontainebleau app for iPhone is a great party-planning tool. Also hot in its own right is LIV’s sister club Arkadia, a subterranean lounge of a smaller scale, but with just as much energy and opportunities to dance.
