Maison et Objet: Lassen presents its new throw Mesch, which was designed on the basis of one of architect Mogens Lassen’s patterns.

Nadia Lassen, great-granddaughter of Mogens Lassen and director of by Lassen, explains the concept. “Mesch takes its starting point in one of Mogens Lassen’s meticulous geometric patterns which we have enlarged on the wool throw to emphasise the richness of detail. Mogens Lassen loved navy blue and the burnt mustard shade, both of which recur in his design and architecture, and including them in our collection was a natural choice”.
The contrast between the light and the dark is achieved by the special double-woven texture that gives the throw extra luxuriance and creates different colour surfaces on each side. The airy material seems to move within the light.
Flemming Lassen’s overupholstered chairs The Tired Man and Mingle are an example of the quality of Mesch wool.
Mesch brings strenght to the collection’s range of colours with its intense, saturated colours. Lassen designs are synonimous of tactility and sensuousness of the throw.

Crafted from 100% Peruvian highland wool, the throw is made for by Lassen by a Danish wool mil. For those of us with a penchant for quality, good craftsmanship, security and warmth, Mesch is an indispensible and perfect sofa accessory . Mesch will be available in shops at the end of September 2015.
