You’ll be in NYC just in time to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! This year it falls on Friday, March 17 and the Parade will start at 11 am at 44th Street, marching up Fifth Avenue—past St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 50th Street—all the way to 79th Street. It’ll finish around 5 pm at the American Irish Historical Society at East 80th Street.
Women’s History Month

Throughout the whole month, you’ll be able to celebrate Women’s History Month! So you should know that New York ladies will be hosting a series of cool events that range from nabbing beauty services at one of the best blow dry bars to an all-female jazz festival, comedy show and more. You can even attend a global protest to fight for women’s rights!
SNACKS AND DRINKS
NYC Cocktail Expo

“Slurp your way through this craft-cocktail fest with drink tastings stirred by mixologists from, primarily, Queens bars like Sweet Afton and the Bonnie. Witness a cocktail throwdown to determine the best drinks of the night while you nibble SoCal-inspired bites from Pinks.” in Timeout NY. Make sure to stop by the Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden, Astoria, and enjoy!
Caffè Storico

The restaurant features dishes inspired by classic Cicchetti, or small plates, as well as handmade artisanal pastas. Award-winning chef, Jim Burke, brings a refined style to the menu with a deep sense of authentic Italian cuisine developed during his time in Italy. Definitely a must during your stay in NYC!
Babu Ji

The state of Indian food in New York is a divided one: cultish, rickety dosa carts and home-cooked Punjabi counters occupy one end; modern Michelin-level fine-dining rooms gloss up the other. Babu Ji, a South Melbourne import from husband-and-wife team Jessi and Jennifer Singh falls comfortably in the middle.

The New York Edition

Handsomely suited doormen and whiffs of the brand’s proprietary Le Labo scent greet both guests and passersby, and the cozy-chic rooms combined with Stephen Starr’s dining and drinking destinations will definitely make you want to live there forever!
Wythe Hotel

A factory was built on the Williamsburg waterfront in 1901. Decades later, the building was reborn as a 70-room hotel, which presently draws celebrities and discerning travelers alike to its stunning industrial design structure.
GET YOUR ART ON!
The Met

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, best known as simply The Met is probably one of the most famous museums around the world. Located in Central Park, there’s no excuse for you to miss this mandatory stop. Don’t miss your chance to visit and book a tour!
MoMA

Just as beautiful as its other elements, what you cannot miss when visiting MoMA are the attached cinema that combines art-house fare and more accessible offerings, a sculpture garden with works by Picasso and Rodin, and the Modern, a high-end restaurant and bar run by Danny Meyer. The admission is free on Fridays, so we guess that’s settled.
SHOP TILL YOU DROP

Located on the Lower East Side, Frankie is the ultimate concept and indie shop in NYC. “Think of it as the mature and ultra-chic version of Pixie Market. The shop caters to the career-minded woman, so instead of cocktail dresses or crop tops, you’ll find more sophisticated items like cocoon tops, alpaca boyfriend coats and more from international indie labels.” in Timeout.
Saks Fifth Avenue

Right by Rockefeller Center, this posh Fifth Avenue department store is the place to go to for high-end retail and international luxury brands. Along with browsing through houseware, clothes and accessories, linger at in-store designer boutiques like Chanel and Louis Vuitton, its mecca shoe department or the beauty counter.
Kikkerland

“Quirky products rule at this Village charmer. Founder Jan van der Lande collaborated with Kevin Brynan, the owner of now-closed gift shop Mxyplyzyk, to create the first store for Kikkerland, which has been churning out must-have utilitarian gadgets for the past 20 years.” in Timeout
