IRON BRIDGE

Frankfurt’s famous iron footbridge is located on the river Main embankment and is a much-photographed and visited spot in the city. The bridge also offers a wonderful view of the city and you will be able to see the spires of the Frankfurt Cathedral.

You only need to walk four minutes from the Iron Bridge to find Römerberg, which means Roman Mountain. There are many historical buildings which nudge this square, including the city hall, after which the square is named.

RÖMER

The Romer, or town hall, is considered one of Frankfurt’s most important historic building, named for the central building, Zum Romer which means ‘at the Roman’ – in reference to the Roman settlements which existed in the area before the founding of the city itself.

MUSEUM OF MODERN ART 

Frankfurt’s Museum of Modern Art, or MKK, is considered one of the world’s most prestigious institutes of contemporary art. The museum’s collection numbers over 5,000 pieces!
