Parlour Inn
Located in downtown Stratford The Parlour Inn, originally called The Mansion House, was built in 1871 to serve the Grand Trunk Railway and repair facility nearby. Back then, it consisted of 36 guestrooms and a dining room.
At the time, the hotel had a special ladies waiting room where women were required to wait while their husbands finished business and social meetings. We’ve come a long way baby!
Since then, The Parlour Inn has undergone many incarnations, but most recently, we have been a popular hotel and Gastropub catering to locals and of course, our regular Festival Theatre goers! The restaurant is decorated with classic features such as beautiful woodwork, tin ceilings and stained glass windows with a lot of vintage details, all of which are a nod to our 19th century origins.
