Be warned: once you get up there, you’ll want to stay there, so come prepared, with food, drinks, and any other amenities you’ll need and you’ll get so high up on the mountain that you completely lose cell-phone service.
Perched on a private bluff with only a couple faraway mansions in sight, the spot is secluded and serene.
Inside, the aluminum camper is stripped down and tastefully decorated, with sliding glass doors that offer outdoor views even when pulled shut.
You might prefer to spend every moment outside on the expansive deck, outfitted with huge cushions and a thick wool rug for easy lounging.
The airstream is windy, not to mention the temperature can be cold, especially in winter and early spring. Come in summer if you can, and if you can’t, pack plenty of layers because there’s no heating.
The surrounding hills, the lush green grass and wildflowers, and the beautiful blue waters that blend into the horizon before you. County Line Beach, the Channel Islands, Catalina, and Deer Creek Canyon are all visible from the camper’s vantage point.
A separate platform supports the toilet and shower, which are surprisingly clean and chic for an outdoor bathroom.
Just when you think you’ll never see anything more beautiful in your life, the sun begins to set, dousing everything in gorgeous golden light.
