Vitra, a renowned Swiss company, will have a special Summit on the 22nd and 23rd of October, precisely about this theme. You can expect an interesting digital exchange with a panel of speakers from different professional fields, ready to discuss the best practices related to the future of shared spaces.

The future. Something that has been on the table for the couple of months. What can we expect of the future of shared spaces? How can design solve or, at least, find the best solution to reduce the impact of the pandemic crisis? Several companies have organized digital meetings and talks, and the Swiss renowned company, Vitra, was one of them. Trying to understand the future of shares spaces must be our main concern. We cannot remeber of such a huge change in our lives in so little time. We had to have new habits, hobbies, and let go some things that we loved to do before. Many interior designers and architects have already talked about the direct implications on the way that we look at our home. In fact, the Italian design duo, Studiopepe, in a exlusive digital talk, said that ‘our house is the new hotel and restaurant’. They also gaved a few examples to change little details in our house to improve our day “The trick is to create a diferente corner. I moved following the sun, because my house has east and west (…) according to the different moments, I moved the table, chairs, and I discovered space and corners I’ve never experienced. You have to move yourself in your home like you were outsider” “Everything has changed. You don’t have a specialized room. Before you had a kitchen where you only cooked. Now, you can work in the kitchen, or have a meal in the studio. You discover more space (and) you can create diferente spaces. Light in this case, can change the room”, claimed the designers.
