Sadly, ICFF 2017 has come to an end. But, today we’ll recap all the best moments to make sure you’re updated on everything in case you have missed this unique trade show that was filled with intense and overwhelming experiences.
BACK TO THE FIRST DAY: ICFF NEW YORK FIRST DAY: ALL THE HIGHLIGHTS!
Best Stand
Once again, DelightFULL stood out among the crowd by exalting the eternal flair of mid-century modern design. Paired with partner Essential Home, the brand was able to provide a full design experience.
Best Trend
Organically shaped lighting was the most recognizable trend during ICFF 2017. Brands like David Trubridge and Vita were the boldest exhibitors following this trend. At this year’s edition, Vita presented Eos Collection, “drawing its force and mesmerizing beauty from the earth tones of the Nordic landscape (…)”
Best Conference
Among the extensive list of conferences during ICFF Talks, Decorating Interiors with Light was one of the most interesting. Themes like the importance of lighting when planning a design and the accuracy of presentation images when it comes to illumination were thoroughly discussed. A special note goes to David Trubridge who stated that he was not concerned for not presenting new designs regularly, claiming that his designs are not like fashion which changes seasonally.
ICFF Editor’s Awards
Products to aid those with memory loss and an exhibition stand made from carved blue foam and mirrors are among the award winners at this year’s International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York. Our highlight goes to Trueing, a Brooklyn-based design studio established just four months before the trade fair, but still won the Emerging Designer prize after presenting a set of table lamps with spinning dichroic disks.
If you attended ICFF this year, we hope you had one of the best times of your life like we did. See you next year ICFF NYC!
