Minimalistic design has been highly influenced by Japanese traditional design and architecture. The works of De Stijl artists are a major reference: De Stijl expanded the ideas of expression by meticulously organizing basic elements such as lines and planes. Well, the truth is that there’s a lot to talk about Minimalistic Design, but for now we’re gonna focus on the Lievore Altherr Molina!
SKAN Lamp Collection, by Lievore Altherr Molina for VIBIA. I wanna show to you how to be trendy in 2015 with Minimalistic Lighting and this collection is perfect for that!
Basic shapes and clean lines. The key to the success of the SKAN collection is its minimalist volumes and maximum light functionality brought together in a contemporary design. Designed by Lievore Altherr Molina, SKAN represents a back to basics approach: fine pure lines where the light is the fundamental element while the overall volume is reduced to the minimum, the form becoming almost invisible.
Its design stems directly from the possibilities offered by the latest LED technology. The result: three unique models suitable for multiple applications.
The hanging light fitting combines the elaborate simplicity of a classic design. A reinterpretation of the simple traditional lamp with a shade concept but taking advantage of LED lighting to create a luminary in its most simple iteration. Available in 30 and 60 cm diam. versions (with electronic control) built-in and on the surface.
