Japanese designer Koichiro Kimura was at Maison & Objet for the past five days to present his latest 100% recyclable furniture. Entirely made of polyethylene fibers, these singular looking furniture models make up great and very comfortable pieces. Below you can see more clearly the look of the fibers and how they let the furniture breathe, at the same time they can be very strong and malleable pieces.

SILENCE WAS ALSO A STRONG PRESENCE AT M&O

Silence” was M&O’s theme for the year. For that reason, in Hall 7 – next to the Conference area – you could find a stunning and embracing scenography by Elizabeth Leriche. The idea was to remind people that “like a remedy to the interminable racket of words and images, silence has a calming effect on the hyperactive, garrulous and loud times we live in. Home is a place where calm is restored and a growing desire for serenity can be expressed. Lifestyle and style give us the ‘silent treatment’.”
